M. Douglas Mann
Author and Storyteller |
My first novel, "The Burlington Agreement," is now published. Based on some real occurrences and mostly on my own imagination, it is a historical adventure of a rare time and place in America in which the white and African American races understood each other and worked together for peace.
THE REVIEWS ARE IN!
Doug Mann is a great writer and a skilled, top-notch storyteller. "The Burlington Agreement" is an excellent read, not to be missed.
— Martin Clark, author of "The Legal Limit" and "The Jezebel Remedy"
"The Burlington Agreement" is a wonderful saga of days gone by. It is also a lovely and timely reminder of our potential as humans. The writing as well as the characters are well crafted, solid, and clear minded. The characters in this very readable story are who they are and don't hide behind masks. Their correctness is in their moral code, character and values and to achieve a fair and just community they are willing to step around the rules. Justice, respect, and appreciation extend across many potential schisms,e.g. socioeconomic, racial, and gender divisions. This book is written in a very readable format and offers us nuggets of wisdom for living a full and meaningful life
— Dr. Lorna Benbenisty
If you like to read excellent writing, explore moral and social dilemmas across generations, meet beautifully crafted characters, and be challenged by new ideas, this book is one for you.
— Marguerite Williams, author of "Madame President"
